Animal Welfare

All suppliers of our meat ingredients undergo an approval process, which includes risk assessments of our supply chain, visits to production facilities, supplier audits and the sampling and analysis of raw materials on receipt, to ensure that the ingredients we source meet our required specifications and to ensure legal compliance.

Where possible, we source our ingredients from within the UK (click this link for more info on our meat ingredients) in order to keep the supply chain as short as possible. Where this is not possible and ingredients are sourced outside of the UK (fish from Norway for example), they must meet standards equivalent to those required by the United Kingdom and the European Union.

As standard, raw materials that are purchased within the UK and EU must adhere to strict animal welfare legislation (Council Directive 98/58/EC). This enforces welfare standards based upon the "5 Freedoms":

- Freedom from hunger & thirst

- Freedom from discomfort

- Freedom from pain, injury & disease

- Freedom to express normal behaviour

- Freedom from fear & distress

Do you love the idea of feeding raw but hate the mess, fuss or your dog just won't eat it? Wolfworthy is the dry food alternative to feeding raw. It has the same health benefits but is easy to store, handle and travel with. So you can relax knowing your dog is satisfied, healthy and well-cared for but without all the hassle.
