My Dog’s Stools Are Soft – What Should I Do?
If your dog's stools are too soft, it’s often a sign that their feeding amount is too high. Check our feeding guide and start at the lower end of the range. The recommended feeding amount assumes your dog is only eating Wolfworthy and not receiving extra calories from treats, chews, or human food.
To help firm up stools, we suggest pausing all extras like treats, chews, and dental sticks until your dog's digestion stabilises. It’s easy to accidentally overfeed when adding extras, so if you do continue offering them, reduce the amount of Wolfworthy to balance their calorie intake.
For puppies in training, set aside a small handful of their daily food allowance to use as training treats, or even better, hand-feed meals to encourage good behaviour while controlling portions.
If you feed chews or dental sticks, always check the ingredients - many are made with low-quality, hard-to-digest fillers. We don’t recommend using dental sticks for teeth cleaning, as they often contain unhealthy additives. Instead, opt for a rubber chew toy or a toothbrush for better dental health.
